Jillian is in her early twenties when she falls hard and fast for Cliff Winters. Although their first meeting is contentious, it isn't long before her hate turns into something else. Cliff is all personality-arrogant, strong, smart, and charismatic. He knows exactly what he wants and has a way of making people get it for him. As Jillian falls deeply and hopelessly in love with Cliff, he deceives her into believing she has won the perfect man while presenting himself as a kind, loving, loyal, and an easygoing Christian. After a short period of dating, Cliff tricks Jillian into marrying him. When he begins to show his true colors, Cliff molds her to be all the things he wants her to be, and then decides he doesn't want those things. While Jillian grapples with feelings of insecurity, she becomes unsure of herself, afraid of the world, untrusting of her own abilities, and unable to hear God's voice inside her. But when one event jolts her back into reality, Jillian learns that there are certain sacrifices she will not make. But will she be strong enough to transform into the daughter God intends her to be?
