Tiarra is faced with making decisions that will affect her future. She is facing issues of pregnancy, boys, and friends, while she tries to make the right choices. Each issue she is faced with has an impact on her Godfather, Jamel. Jamel is struggling, trying to balance raising a teenage girl and live his own life. With his relationship with Jocelyn growing more serious and with Tiarra's constant antics, Jamel finds himself struggling with his new found responsibilities. Jamel and Tiarra both encounter challenges that will upset their lives in major ways. They find themselves looking to each other for support once they get past the issues they have with each other.
