His life was comfortable and content until he met Marissa. Having her in his life reminds him what it feels like to be alive. Yet he knows he cannot have her. He is married. He watches her turn away from everyone, even him after their friend is murdered but he has no time to worry about her when his wife runs off with his best friend.
By the time he pulls himself together he realizes Marissa might be on the path of no return. Will her guilt and pride be the death of her? Can he save her from the most dangerous enemy anyone could ever have? Can he save her from herself? Can Marissa?s friendship and love help him rebuild his own life?
