ABOUT THE BOOK Devki is one of the most powerful characters of Mahabharata era. Though she is mother of Lord Krishna yet she finds a very little place in the Mahabharat epic, legends and stories. A treatise has been attempted in this book on her contribution to the deeds of Lord Krishna particularly her efforts to establish a democratic form of government in a land where people don't appreciate such a concept.
