Terry was the daughter of a vampire prince and vampire princess. While her twin brother Stark had gotten married and was living happily with a vampires wife, Terry was much more independent than her brother and preferred to be alone. One day, Terry decided to take a ride out to a dark forest on her motorcycle, and despite Stark constantly urging her to return home instead of putting herself in danger, she refused to listen to him and kept going. She had a strong feeling that "something special" was about to happen there and wanted to find out what it was. As it turned out, it was nothing special at all, because she found herself face-to-face with a gang of vampires. Jason was a police officer who was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time when he encountered the fight between a woman and what he saw as "creatures." He arrives unarmed, but finds a gun attached to her motorcycle. However, in the attempt to rescue the woman, he ends up needing rescuing himself. Terry is this woman he tries to save, but she ends up saving him instead. However, humans aren't supposed to know about the paranormal, and yet she finds herself slowly falling for him.
