The current situation with bullying: More than 1 out of every 5 students (20.8%) report being bullied. Only 36% of kids who are targets bullying actually report it. Students who experience bullying are at increased risk for poor school performance, sleep problems, depression or anxiety. But we can make a difference. Thanks to greater awareness of bullying in schools, and more proactive attempts at educating children and teens, reports of bullying are on a downward trend. Since 2005, when the US Federal Government began tracking data on bullying, the number of cases have dropped by 25%. We can continue this trend to help kids become BULLYPROOF. The eleven authors in this volume are authorities who work with kids on a daily basis. They have one goal: to help kids become more confident, more respectful, and to be BULLYPROOF.
