Newton Heath T M D is a train maintenance depot. This book is a series of short stories, mostly about some of my experiences working there as a fitter. I worked with some wonderful and eccentric characters. The stories are all true, as best I can remember, as are the characters. I couldn't make them up. However, I have changed a few names, to protect the guilty.
