A young English teacher is determined to find true love, the kind of love he finds in his poetry or in the great works of literature that haunt his dreams. He believes in Hollywood endings as he searches for his soul mate. But he spent his college years nursing a broken heart and doubting himself as he wallowed in self-pity and drowned in a self-inflicted darkness. As an educator who molds the minds of idealistic teenagers, he reminisces of his own days as a high school student who first fell in love at the tender age of 17. It will take the sudden appearance of an unusual student to once again restore his faith in "happily ever after" as he dares to explore his sexuality and the various dimensions of lovemaking in the arms of an older woman who introduces him to a sensual frontier he had never considered.
