Like so many things, it starts with a glass of wine. Just back from a long trip, that tingling starts again: Where to next? South Africa and Namibia are firmly planned. Maybe in winter? Or January/February? When do most of the animals come to the watering holes? When does the biggest stream of tourists dry up? Suddenly and as if out of the blue, the term "Trans-Siberian Railway" comes up. Now that's not exactly Africa, but it's no less a spectacular idea!
