Forgiveness is a vital component in the lives of every individual living in an orderly and civilized community. For the Christian, it is as important as life itself, since our heavenly Father not only charges us to forgive, but makes it a condition of our own forgiveness. It is therefore, of vital importance that we all understand, what forgivenss is, how it works, and how it affects our relationships with one another and with the one we call our Father which art in heaven. In this little book, Dr. Weekes has compiled a useful and readable guide. The following pages are dedicated to all those who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist acts on September eleventh, in the year of our Lord, two thousand and one. The brave passengers and crew on those aircrafts, the occupants in the Pentagon and the Twin Towers; the fire fighters and all the rescuers who lost their lives. May God be merciful to them, and may their souls and the souls of all those who depart this life in the faith and fear of our Lord, by the mercy of God, rest in peace.
