Eric Danhoff's The Black Eclipse is a dark, gritty detective story inspired by film noir and the stylized anime of Shinichir? Watanabe. Beginning with a grim dream of the end of the world, the story pulls you into the world of Paavo Harker, a private eye now in exile and facing death due to a strange disorder that must be hidden from everyone.  Somewhere in the city's worst winter to date, people are vanishing without a trace. Streets are painted with blood with no sign of what has happened. The Police are losing ground to a growing shadow of crime and corruption, leaving an old cop (and Paavo's mentor) to reach out for help. A young girl goes missing, forcing Paavo to finally brave the cold and risk everything to find the answers. Within the madness, a beautiful woman appears, giving Paavo a choice for something more than just an honorable death.  The Black Eclipse is a story of redemption in the darkness.
