The Decision John Rock

The Decision is a fictional novel set in contemporary Sydney, Australia. The main characters are a successful young gay man named Martin, his parents and his boyfriend. The book explores how each person deals with the life challenges that confront them, and the relationships between them. How will they deal with the unexpected? Each one makes decisions all of which have consequences. The hardest decision of all is made by the main character, Martin, as he struggles with his fears. That decision has the capability of substantially changing his life. His father draws from his own experiences and disappointments to help him come to terms with his son's sexuality and provides some useful insights. His mother has a harder time coming to terms with Martin being gay, and the reasons for that eventually become evident. Meanwhile Martin's boyfriend patiently waits.
