Spirits of the Flame, a Messenger series novel, is one of the most important works Speaking Wind left behind. As Cheeway nears death, he and Speaking Wind are visited by Calling Thunder, a Spirit Caller. While the messages they receive are not from Calling Thunder, they are through him.
