A Sentient Perspective explores what it really means to be human.



The fundamental question that needs to be asked is why humanity continues to be irrational, brutal, and violent? The answer will surprise you. We need not remain in disarray. Our perspective is little changed from the cowering animal that crawled out of its cave many millennia ago.

Just think on this. Mankind's greatest fear is mankind itself. How strange is that? A rather common belief, reinforced by conditioning handed down to us, is that we are aberrant by design. That is a disastrous misbelief and mischief. The absurdity, the disruptive elements, of our existence are not required.

There is a saying that "Perception is reality". A more accurate description is "Perceptions match reality or indulge delusion". Sentient reality is far different from that of a beast. Our conditions fall well short of our potential. We can finally, fully attain our sentience and differentiate ourselves from animals by achieving formidable stability.

It is possible for civilization to be civilized, society to be sane, humanity to be human, and the universe to be a challenge, not a paranoid threat. The perspective of a sentient race is tantalizingly within our easy grasp and purview. The reality will surprise you.
