Devotional Drawings- Art and poetry for the faithful and curious Since my earliest of years as an elementary school child, I've been compelled to draw faces, as they are the most interesting element of humans. The eyes can reveal happiness or intrigue, while the lips and accompanying lines and wrinkles share with them other tales about the one who wears a smile or frown. In my spare time- or rather, the time unoccupied by the rigors of reading, writing and arithmetic, I honed my drawings skills by compiling my own characters. As I got older, my attention turned to writing essays and poetry. During the wreckage of my early adult years, I abandoned drawing and writing altogether. My faith manifested through many difficult times in my life, only to be abandoned when I became complacent. God has restored my heart and through his sanctification, I have a new joy in pursuing the Lord through contemplative drawing, prayer and poetry.
