Before, after, now, then...it's all mixed up for her, and the solution may just be writing the reality she wants to happen. Tyler Monroe is a famous mystery writer, beautiful of course, lonely in the manner that only a beautiful woman can be, and struggling with her newest novel Death Doesn't Knock. Writer's block, blackout writing, her ex-husband, and men on the prowl, combined with a constant sense of déjà vu, all plague her. The book and its heroine, Trisha Donovan, seem to parallel Tyler's life too closely, which is confusing but not tragic- until real people in her life begin to die, and she's the prime suspect.
