Even though the plays range in style from iambic pentameter to high school banter, the core of each work is interconnected. Instead of following cliché concepts and criticisms of an established group or immediately embracing the counter's arguments, the characters engage the issue through their own life experiences. Whether or not their efforts and struggles affect the issues or are even recognized, the characters with integrity develop and those following the status quo remain unchanged. In letting the characters speak, the author also becomes an aspect or student of the process. Since one cannot bemoan or speak against the state of education, learning, and intelligentsia while they act as a heavy handed guide endorsing predetermined outcomes with standard villains and striking heroes. If the journey is to be respected, then the beauty of persons without engrained biases is to be celebrated.
