THE CODE A NOVEL BY JAY CURTIS CLASSIFICATION: Contemporary Action-Adventure Science Fiction, with as much science as fiction involved. The novel is as much an action-adventure story as it is science fiction and involves romance. It is not at all typical science fiction, but rather a projection of science, intelligence reports and rumors, and religious precepts and teachings to a logical, but yet novel, conclusion. The novel would also fit in the genre of a mild thriller. SYNOPSIS: FACTUAL BACKGROUND: The novel is based on weaving several very interesting factual premises, military intelligence rumors, historical legends, and religious precepts and teachings, all of which are pushed to a logical but extreme conclusion in developing the story. 1. In 1997, Michael Drosnin, an investigative reporter, wrote The Bible Code, a nonfiction account of the work of cryptographers and other scientists who put modern computer decryption technology to the task of deciphering a purported hidden code in the Torah, which reveals everything about the future of everyone. Although it has its critics and detractors, the book and the work it details are both credible, if not indisputable, and startling, if not downright frightening. The concept of such hidden predictions was one Sir Isaac Newton spent most of his life devoted to unraveling, but he failed at what he believed was his true, God-given mission in life.
