James turns to anything to get away from his turmoiled life and spends most of his time in the local countryside only returning to the family home and his schoolwork when he has no other option. When it seems things can get no worse for James, an accident reveals a whole new world for him. After the discovery of his fathers remians the fears for the safety of James's mother are compounded and hopes of a safe return are diminshing by the day. James feels he has no one to turn to, his sisters are too young and his older brother is not the brother he once knew. Events lead to James being hospitalised and in turn the family doctor and a friend of the family comes to stay at the family home to help. James thinks that he has a friend that would listen to his problems but will he pluck up the courage to tell him. In a twist of events James's mother is found barely alive and James is not alone with his new found abilities. Friends and family become increasingly intertwined in the course of events and things become even harder for James.
