Chasing Daylight contains early and lost poems which were left out of Little Alters Everywhere, Alexandra's earlier book of poetry. Almost all were written during her childhood and adolescence- the formulative years, so to speak. Those years are often a dark and confusing time, one where we struggle to understand ourselves and our place in the world. A time we spend "chasing daylight". This is one girl's journey.
