Prayer is a two way communication. Jesus at the tomb of lazarus prayed and got instant answers. When you pray and do not get results you are likely to get frustrated and before long Prayer would become an arduous task for you. Gradually you would give up praying. Do not give up. For instance you pick up a phone, to make a call, you would check if there is a dialing tone, then afterwards you dial your number, then you wait for a response / reply. Before Elijah prayed on Mount Carmel, he took certain steps and afterward when he prayed he got an instant answer, the fire fell and the glory of God came down.
