Waves John English

John English's collection of short stories reflects his journey from a childhood in Ireland to a home in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Along the way he celebrates deep affection for two oceans: the Pacific, "whose muscles ripple below the smooth skin of deceit", and the Atlantic, which he describes as "Bitchy, witchy, wild and wicked, driven by hormones and heart".
