There are two types of people in this world: Regulars and Talents. The latter fit into six categories: Teleporters/Deliverers, Invisibles, Fortune Tellers, Healers, Telepathics, and Auras. Auras can manipulate people by using their emotions against them. There is only one Aura at a time, and they are born when all Talents need their leadership. Abigaile is the Aura of her generation. After she rescues eleven Talents from the Salem Witch Trials, she must save her people from persecution by finding them a home. Annabelle, the Aura following Abigaile, must finish what Abigaile started while hiding from a group of underground terrorists who intend to exploit her talent and use it to start an uprising against the Regulars.
