Garrett Foster readies himself for college as he desperately pines over his lifelong best friend, Stella. He attends her band's shows, helps her with her schoolwork, and lends a ear when she's in need. Just when things are looking up in his favor, he and Stella irritate a witch and he awakens the next morning to discover that he has transformed into a monkey. As an animal, Garrett is forced to act instinctually while simultaneously making new discoveries about his own humanity. Garrett's family's Hawaiian heritage may hold the key to breaking the curse, but will his family and friends be able to save him in time, or is he doomed to remain a monkey forever?
