The People of The Vale led a simple life. They didn't move far from their villages and they kept themselves to themselves. But Allen was different... Allen of The Vale was an exception to the rule. He craved knowledge... soaked up all he heard about the history of The FireLands... and wondered what had become of The Kings and 'dragon-kind'... spoken of in their fireside tales. He asked questions of the village 'Elder' but got little response. It appeared he asked the wrong questions! But Allen was to come upon a wolf pack about to attack cornered prey... and this 'event' was the catalyst to a future he could hardly have dreamed of... Allen of The Vale was to face a future that he accepted readily... He was to become a part of the history of The FireLands... and live on in the fireside tales, as legend.
