Everyone has bad memories. Some of us have more than others. In this book I want to share some of my own. As the last chapter asks, "Why am I still here?" I have lived through fires that others lost their lives in. I was nearby when a friend was gunned down and have survived a near drowning. And in the title chapter 'A Ride With a Pedophile' a time that probably scared me as much as any. Most of this is very personal and much of it I hate to have to remember. But it is what it is, "bad memories." I decided that I would start reviewing my life, what happened to me, what was going on around me. I discovered in doing that I have different conclusions about my youth, my adult hood, my parents and my crutches I employed to mask situations. Everyone should sit down sometime and take a personal inventory. You might be surprised at how you perceive your life, the total package that is you.
