Jazz Poems
Tom Greening
A collection of poems inspired by a life of enjoying jazz. In 1948 I was a lonely, repressed teenager in a small New Jersey town with little knowledge of popular music beyond Glen Miller, Harry James, Benny Goodman big band swing. One night by chance I tuned in to WOV New York "Robbin's Nest" and was introduced to jazz. Disc jockey Fred Robbins and that music changed my life.
