Growing up is hard, no matter what your personal background may be.

As a young African-American man, author Dayson Brooks has had first-hand experiences of racial and social injustices that are still alive in the United States today. The Talk: Discussing Black America provides parents with an outline to help them discuss the state of their country with their growing children who will likely witness horrible tragedies in their lifetimes.

With his book, Brooks hopes to not only share the truth of what children may have to endure, but to also inspire all readers to make this country a place of true freedom and equality.
