A story of love and anguish, motherhood and personal goals, it is the story of a young woman from Calcutta, India, who moves to the USA with her Professor husband. They make the small University town their home with their baby girl only to discover that the child is 'challenged'. This freaks out her husband who takes the back seat to escape from reality. It becomes a Herculean task for Meghna to care for the child alone. Amidst trepidations and trials, she manages to raise her girl single-handedly with courage and hope to prepare her for a life that could be full of strife. Somewhere in between, a friend from the past resurfaces and changes the fabric of her own life. She's torn between love and her obligations.
