Nola Mirg is used to being alone. After being abandoned at birth and moving from foster home to foster home, she has already had her fair share of hardships. After her foster father abandoned her two years earlier, Nola is doing her best to move on with her life. However, destiny has other plans, and her life is flipped upside down when she finds out she is the daughter of Death and can bring back the dead. Now she's in a life-or-death struggle as she tries to figure out where she comes from and where she belongs.







Asher Delin is a powerful demon. After a past betrayal that left his sister blind, he has come to hate everything about humans. Feeling guilty for what happened to his sister, he has decided to let himself go and is slowly losing his senses one by one and can no longer feel anything. Soon, the darkness will eat away at his humanity and end his misery.







Asher is sent to Earth to eliminate a threat that is shifting the scale of human souls. He needs to eliminate the threat before the gates of hell are opened and all hell is let loose on Earth. When Asher meets Nola, he immediately dislikes her, but what makes it worse is that he can feel her, making him second-guess his decision to end his miserable life.







When he realizes who Nola is and what she can do, he realizes that not only is she the threat but that there are also a lot more going on than a simple scale shift. Soon, he and his cohorts find themselves tangled up with Nola in a perilous situation where no one can be trusted, and there seems to be no end to the dark secrets surrounding them.
