Suffering and moments of difficulty are an inherent part of life in this world. Although they are not usually to our liking, God allows them in our lives and does so with a purpose. Under This Rain was written trying to find that purpose and how to respond to suffering in the pages of the Bible. Emotions play an essential role in our times of storm. Sometimes, the intensity of what we experience can make our emotions take control over what we think and do, not allowing us to see beyond what is happening. This book tries to get us out of that trap, focusing on God, His person, and His purpose. Under This Rain is composed of five weeks of personal Bible study. Each week consists of five sessions with content, analysis and reflection questions, personal experiences of the author, and guides with additional questions for those who want to go deeper or for small group studies. Débora Rodrigo, Ph. D., has dedicated the last few years to the study of emotions in the field of Emotional Intelligence. In a methodical analysis, the author proposes a journey through some biblical passages, taking the analysis of emotions to a personal and spiritual perspective. Under This Rain is a study of certain texts of the Bible in which the reader will find comfort, strength, and encouragement to continue walking in the midst of the storms we are going through at different times of our lives, while polishing certain elements in our personal lives and developing a Christian character.
