Will Becker was raised by his grandfather, a retired colonel in the United States Army. His upbringing was unemotional and strict to prepare him for a military career like all the men in his family before him. With no companionship other than the stern old Colonel, Will spent his time writing stories and exploring the mysterious old Victorian mansion in which he grew up. John 'Woody' Yeoman, a free-thinking blonde haired surfer from California, sets out in his old Chevy pickup to see the country. Born in the back of a VW van, he was always encouraged to express himself and pursue a life of love and fulfillment. A chance encounter with Will at a truck stop near Green Grove, Illinois leads him to spend some time in the small community. The two men are opposites in so many ways, but they have one thing in common: A desire to connect with another human being in a real and meaningful way. But are their differences too much for them to overcome, or are they even meant for one another in the first place?
