Daddy's Weekend, the first book to be published out of Jordon's collection, focuses on defying the mainstream oppressive narrative of an absent black father and co-parenting. This particular story is centred around time spent between Riley and her father. Riley's parents are no longer together, but they've got co-parenting down to a tee! Riley gets to visit her dad on the weekends, and while doing so, they partake in several activities.
