Dr. Chase Madden is awakened in the middle of the night by a phone call from a patient who frantically screams someone is trying to kill her. Chase isn't sure whether she should elicit help for her patient or the offending party. Her money would be on her patient, Bett McPherson, being the survivor. However, she makes calls, dresses, and heads for the scene. She is soon embroiled in two murders; either two people killed the first victim or one killer decided to kill the victim twice for good measure.
