Life begins to unravel for Dean Rodgers after he calls home and gets himself on the line. Then he sees a former classmate who has been dead for three years, and his favorite TV Anchorwoman disappears. With some information provided by a theoretical physicist, and the help of his casual girlfriend, and the companionship of a laid-back cat, Dean tries to figure out what is going on, as the Universe continues to play tricks on the human race, and it soon becomes a survival challenge.
