Xalien the Purple Alien is written in a fun, humorous style suitable for young children to enjoy. It would make an entertaining story for parents to read to their children, or for children with some early reading skills to read to their parents! The story of Xalien the purple alien is about an alien who crashes to earth and finds herself befriended by three children; Jessica, Adam and Sarah. Whilst on Earth, Xalien learns all about planet Earth and the all the strange habits Humans have; often resulting in funny and unusual situations as she tries her hardest to fit in. Along the way, Xalien teaches the three children, about life on her own Planet. The aim of the story is for children to develop a love for reading by entertaining them with the fun and bizarre adventures Xalien finds herself on. Teemed with bright, colourful illustrations by Charlotte Roberts, the book is sure to draw in young readers eager to learn more about Xalien and her antics. Author, Michelle Path, draws her inspiration from nature and the environment, working these themes into her stories to encourage children to have an interest and appreciation in our plant, in a fun, unique way. Xalien the Purple Alien is the first in the Xalien series. The second book Xalien the Purple Alien: Xalien Goes to School will be out autumn 2014, with a third, Xalien the Purple Alien: Xalien Goes to the Zoo also scheduled for release in the near future. A forth has been written, with a fifth and sixth book planned.
