The Great Old One has re-awoken and he is invincible. Civilization can't withstand his might. Towns fall apart like toys. The army fails at every step. Humanity itself is wrapped up in his dark dreaming, or utterly dumbfounded at the very sight of Cthulhu. A handful of survivors on the Oregon coast desperately cling to sanity, including a deposed Cultist leader, an indigenous Oregonian armed with the Elder Sign, and a pair of Norwegian scientists working on a secret weapon. But how can a monster of the Mythos be stopped? And what if, as his cultists claim, Cthulhu is the very reason humanity climbed from the primordial ooze in the first place?
