Pandora's Box is real and it has chosen six young people around the globe to face trials and tribulations that none have ever experienced before. Pieces of the Box have been locked away and lost to time for centuries, but they have now resurfaced in the present where six people from different backgrounds have been chosen to face the evils that were once contained in the Box, when a young woman's curiosity cursed humanity. Leo and Eva are American college students on vacation. British twins Sarah and David are struggling for a jumpstart in their careers as a singer and soccer player. Themba is a librarian in South Africa who aspires to become an archeologist. And Caitlin is a bartender in Australia who dreams of traveling the world. Simultaneously, they're whisked away against their will by Pandora's Box into a fantasy land of magic, swords, elves and wizards, which they thought only existed in books and fairy tales. At first, they have no idea why they're there or how to get back home, but they soon realize that they've entered this world at an uncertain and tumultuous time just as war is about to break out. Their paths cross while trying to survive the rigors of this strange world and they make new friends and enemies along the way, discover new skills and abilities they never knew they were capable of, and struggle to figure out why Pandora's Box has brought them together as they all work towards one goal: going home.
