Women can no longer give birth without scientific intervention. Those left who still can, called Old Births, are being hunted down by corporate interests who wish to harvest their ovaries. In a chance meeting with one of these Old Births, a young contracted hunter makes the critical decision to save a small girl from others like himself, and to undertake a dreamlike and terrifying mission to reunite the girl with her missing grandfather.
