Beyond Religion is a story of Kiden, a woman character, searching for the meaning of life and love in religion. Born and raised in a multi-religious, multi-cultural society, Kiden was not living in her own world. Like any of us, she lived among her people with her siblings, parents, neighbors, and friends. She had schoolmates and colleagues. She resided in a real physical world, in a great city, well known all over the world.
Religion, the rhetorical speech of religious folks, and trying to explain everything away, none could answer her real-life questions. Her great grandparents' religion-the African Religion-could not help either. Her life was characterized by the terrifying fear of death, sickness, hunger, untold suffering, the horror of life, and the unquenchable search for love and truth.
Will anyone help her along the way? Will one of the oldest religious books finally come to her aid? Will Mother Nature explain to her what life is?Will the experience be her best teacher?
Let's follow Kiden Judith in her quest for the meaning of life, and see where her search for truth, love, and comfort leads in such a society as hers.
