Simon Shoykhet was born in Odessa, warm, southern city on a Black See. In those times he was not engaged in literature and Art painting, he did not play the clarinet. He lives in New York for 38 years and never changed his profession in electrical consulting engineering . Life in amazing city New York, he says, always brings some extraordinary stories and characters for literature and Fine Art. His paintings were presented on many Art exhibitions in New York and Miami. His first book, Venetian Ghetto, was written and based on his short stories, published in American magazines . Since then a lot of his books were published . "Illustrations to Fine Art," "New York 1937," "Pianist from Chelsea Hotel," " Metaphor of fantasy," "Citadel of Jerusalem," "Children of the War 1914." "Barnes & Noble" company distributed it in USA, Europe and Australia. His new book "Komparsita" is based on romantic and travel stories and is accompanied by illustrations from his paintings.
