Experience Peru- A Trip of a Lifetime! Short-Term Mission or Group Team Building Trips to Peru. Come Experience Peru and Help Those in Need! We design Christian based or organizational goodwill trips to Lima to work in impoverished areas and help those in need. Amor Real Ministries (ARM) was founded in 2016 by Alex and Holly Compton for the sole purpose of establishing a ministry in Peru, where they lived as missionaries from 2007 to 2008. Having ministered there since 2004, Alex and Holly now focus ARM's efforts in three areas, the first of which is championing the cause of Pat's Place. Established in 2006, Pat's Place is home for abused women and their children who seek refuge and new beginnings for their lives. Pat's Place, located in the outskirts of Lima, Peru, is a safe haven where these women and their children learn to heal while cultivating and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ. While residents of Pat's Place, the women learn new skills that could include specific training and education, while the children go to school and live in a harmonious communal way. Upon graduation, these women and their children are prepared to live a wholesome and productive life free of their former abusive conditions. Secondly, ARM designs and hosts short-term mission and team building trips. ARM facilitates and organizes custom trips to go alongside annually scheduled trips. ARM provides a unique opportunity for individuals to work together as a team while serving the women and children of Pat's Place and in impoverished communities in and around San Juan de Lurigancho. These trips can include many different activities such as home building, sports camps, school improvements, medical & dental clinics, etc., and can be customized for individual groups as small as 6 or as large as 30 participants. And finally, ARM works very closely in several impoverished communities in San Juan de Lurigancho, most specifically a community called Paraíso (Paradise in English). ARM works closely with Pastor Luis Ojeda and the elected officials of Paraíso in building homes for deserving families, supplying portable water filters and medical supplies, as well as ministering and building long-term relationships with the residents. Amor Real Ministries is a 501c3 non-profit and is entirely funded by the generous hearts of people that want to make a difference in the world, most especially to women and children escaping abusive situations. One of the most significant ways ARM can demonstrate what is being accomplished as a ministry in San Juan de Lurigancho is by inviting and facilitating trips for individuals and groups to Pat's Place to experience the heart warming and life changing time interacting with the women and children of Pat's Place, while also providing very important services/activities in communities like Paraiso. Yes, ARM can make this experience ever more memorable with the free-time excursions planned for each group. We know that once you experience such a life transforming time, you will not only wish to come back again, you will also desire to contribute any way you can afterwards (including coming back year after year).
