Contributor Bio:  Zimanyi, Esteban Esteban Zimanyi is a Professor and Director of the Department of Computer and Decision Engineering of the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. His current research interests include business intelligence, geographic information systems, spatio-temporal databases, data warehouses, and Semantic Web. He has co-authored two books and co-edited four books in the domains of spatio-temporal modeling, spatio-temporal data warehouses, and business intelligence. Contributor Bio:  Spaccapietra, Stefano Stefano Spaccapietra is an honorary professor at the School of Computer and Communication Sciences, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he has been chairing the database laboratory for more than twenty years. Together with Christine Parent, he developed MADS, a conceptual spatio-temporal data model equipped with multi-representation support, which gained worldwide renown and has been used in several applications.
