Solar energy has become one of the most promising energy source in the era of rapid growth of interest towards clean & renewable energy and the conventional energy crisis all over the world. This book deals with Stand-alone solar PV system. Battery needs to be efficiently charged for stand-alone systems. Hence, intelligent battery charge controller is designed and implemented in this book in order to safely charge the battery. This book deals with design and implementation of three different PV battery charge controllers. A comparative study among them is also shown in this book. The MATLAB/SIMULINK model of the PV panel and the three battery charge control topology are shown in this book. This book therefore contributes to the society and technology in the field of solar energy applications.
