Mãn has learned to grow up without dreaming and to live without needing hardly anything. But in the kitchen, when she reworks the simple recipes of her childhood, her emotions are unleashed. Tomato juice reminds her of the suffering in her village, a dessert showing the divide in culture, and cutting peppers says a lot about the art of seduction. Mãn ha aprendido a crecer sin sueños, a vivir sin necesitar apenas nada en apariencia. Pero en la cocina, cuando reinterpreta las sencillas recetas de su infancia, las emociones se desatan: el jugo del tomate recuerda el sufrimiento de un pueblo, un postre acerca dos culturas distintas, el modo tradicional de cortar un pimiento tiene mucho que decir sobre el arte de la seducción.
