The New York Times Bestseller, Beloved by Toni Morrison, Professor of Humanities at Princeton University and winner of the 1993 Nobel Prize for Literature, a Pulitzer, and the National Book Critics Circle Award. The protagonist, Sethe, is a woman who escaped slavery 18 years earlier but could not escape her memories, especially of her baby that died nameless and the only word on her tombstone was Beloved.
