Mini Hearts - A Story of Global Friendship

Would you like to go on a journey? It can be fun to travel and explore different places! Did you know by reading about other people in other places, by learning about cultures that might be different than ours, that we can go on an adventure without ever leaving home?




Seventeen (17) girls grew up around the world in thirteen (13) different countries. They share their experiences as children finding that they had much in common long before they grew up and became friends. They talk about their countries, languages, favorite foods, favorite games, favorite holidays, and their faith, religion, or philosophy from their childhoods.




When they grew up, most of them met in the United States of America and became friends in the international and/or military spouse communities in Washington, D. C.




Come along on the journey! See what you have in common! Do you live in, or have you traveled to any of the countries shared in the book? Do you speak any of the languages referenced? Do you like the foods listed? Or would you try them to find out? Do you play some of the same games? Perhaps, you play a game like hide-and-seek but call it something else! Do you celebrate any of the holidays? Maybe, you will identify with someone based on her philosophy, faith, or religion.




Think of it this way: we don't all like the same foods, but we can still be friends! All of the girls you will meet in the book are friends! They grew up to be such good friends they now say they are sisters!
