A revised and updated collection of short stories about a smart and inventive Scottish Terrier named Friday. Who along with his varied friends, like Buster, the Blue Jay and neighborhood gossip, the normally polite Magpie named Godfrey, and a rather large tabby named Abigail, go on adventures. Yes, the animals freely talk to one another, and the two birds communicate with human as needed. So there is a fantasy element to the reality. But, then I've often had people remark that the characters remind them of their current or past pet. And they were happy and quite pleased with the reminder. And it is true that Friday understands his human as she talks on the phone, keeps track of the days by observing the wall calendar, and loves to host movie night with his friends. He has his favorite cafe, where the food is served on the patio. And stays alert to assist new dogs unaccustomed on how they should behave in public. I've been told that my stories are humorous and hopeful, and are a great way to greet the day or pass time in a waiting room. Some say the stories are simply fun, while others indicate a perceived complexity that is intriguing. The books are often bought by parents or grandparents to read to the children in their lives or let the kids enjoy the stories on their own. But there are many adults that profess great delight in reading the tales for their own clean fun enjoyment. And even people that do not or maybe never did have a doggie in their life, much less a spirited Scottie, have found the created world nice to explore or just visit.
