Malik Che is a humble man, son, brother, and an uncle that has been writing poetry for over 15 years. His work has been published in two poetry editions that were produced by his alma mater, Florida A& M University. Those editions being the Spring 2014 Volume V Black Phoenix - A Special Edition and the Spring 2015 Volume VI Black Phoenix - Maya Angelou Special Edition. However, this is his first foray into publishing a book of his very own. His love for poetry and the pen was birthed through his love for hip-hop, which is his favorite genre of music. He began dabbling in writing simple rhymes during his teenage years and as the years progressed so did his writings. Although he does not consider himself to be a "perfect poet," Malik Che is highly confident in his abilities to craft poignant and relevant pieces in virtually any poetic genre. He has always been a gifted writer and gives thanks to God for blessing him with his talents.
