It's October 1st, 1986, Calcutta, India. It's the day before Gary's birthday. Her sister and her best friend, Suu, has dropped a letter for her at Rewa Maasi's house. Suu had told her mother she would be spending the night at Gary's house. But instead, she drops the letter and leaves immediately. Suu's story starts on the day she ends her life. Three women from three different generations in twentieth century India... And their lives intertwined with multiple threads, both physical and non-physical.
